With the experience and dedication of its diverse, international membership bolstering a more than 40-year plus track record, the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) is the world’s premier geothermal association. The GRC serves as a focal point for continuing professional development for its members through its outreach, information transfer and education services. GRC Goals The GRC is a tax-exempt, non-profit, educational association 501(c)(3). Formed in 1970, the GRC was incorporated in the state of Washington in 1972, and in California in 1981. With members in over 40 plus countries, the GRC actively seeks to expand its role as the primary professional educational association for the international geothermal community. The goals of the GRC are to: Encourage worldwide development of geothermal resources through the collection and timely distribution of data and technological information. Promote research, exploration and development of geothermal energy in ways compatible with the environment. Serve as a public forum for the world geothermal community, providing transfer of objective and unbiased information on the nature of geothermal resources and techniques of geothermal development. Cooperate with national and international academic institutions, industry and government agencies to encourage economically and environmentally sound development and utilization of geothermal resources.

GRC Announces Discounted Room Rates for 37th Annual Meeting

The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) have announced a discount on hotel room rates for the world's largest annual geothermal conference taking place September 29-October 2, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Hotel. 

The room rate for the MGM Grand Hotel has been reduced to $89, a saving of $56 a night. However, the rate discount ends on May 31.

The GRC Annual Meeting is the industry’s largest annual gathering of leading geothermal energy scientists, producers, renewable energy industry stakeholders, regulators, utilities, and key associated business leaders. The four-day event will offer technical, policy, and market conference sessions, educational seminars, tours of local geothermal and renewable energy projects, and numerous networking opportunities.

Registration also includes entry to the GEA Geothermal Energy Expo.

The GRC 2012 Annual Meeting attendees came from 33 different countries around the world, highlighting the GRC’s role in connecting the global community. With increasing interest in geothermal as a 24/7, 365, reliable source of renewable energy, the GRC is looking ahead to an even stronger attendance in 2013.
